Notice - Board of Equalization Meeting

NOTICE OF MEETING OF BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
SDCL 10-11-13

Notice is hereby given that the governing body, sitting as a Review Board of the City of Philip, Haakon County, South Dakota will meet in the Community Room, located at 140 S. Howard Ave., Haakon Co. Courthouse 1st Floor, within said taxing jurisdiction on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. for the purpose of reviewing and correcting the assessment of said taxing jurisdiction for the year 2026.

All persons considering themselves aggrieved by said assessment are required to submit “Written Objections to Real Property Assessment”, (Form PT 17). These written objections must be filed with the City Finance Officer, acting as the clerk of the local board, no later than March 13, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Any interested persons are invited to attend this meeting.

City of Philip Utility Accounts - Water Rate Increase

Effective on the February 1st billing, city utility accounts will see a change to the monthly water base rate. These were approved following a recent utility rate study completed by SDARWS. The rates are as follows:
 
In City Customer Rate: $22.50 (includes 2,000 gallons water)             
Out of City Customer Rate: $45.00 (includes 2,000 gallons water)
